Common QuickLift® Face Lift Questions

How is the QuickLift® face lift different from a traditional face lift?

One difference between the Quicklift® face lift and more traditional face lift procedures, is the QuickLift uses a upward-directed lifting which produces a more youthful, natural looking appearance rather than a backward-directed lifting which often results in a "pulled-back" appearance.

The QuickLift face lift is performed under local anesthesia or twilight sedation, and takes one and a half to two hours to complete, when performed alone.  However, it is important to recognize that as additional facial rejuvenation procedures are added, the surgical time will increase as well.

With the QuickLift,  the smaller incision and shorter surgical time typically results in less swelling and bruising and a shorter recovery period.

What is the "right age" to have a QuickLift?

The truth is there is not a "right age" to have a QuickLift face lift.  Most people are between the ages of 40 and 65 years old, but age alone is not an accurate predictor of the success of the QuickLift.  The QuickLift has been performed on patients who have experienced significant weight loss or who are predisposed to sagging skin on the lower face and the QuickLift has also produced amazing results for healthy, energetic people in their 70's.

Is the QuickLift face lift a proven medical procedure?

Yes, variations of the QuickLift face lift have been performed for more than 30 years.  Dominic Brandy, MD, developer of the QuickLift, has personally trained doctors from across the country and the United Kingdom to perform the procedure with great success; however the technique, recovery time and results vary with each doctor and each patient.  Visit our Physician Locator to find an Exclusive QuickLift Surgeon near you.

Are QuickLift face lift scars noticeable?

Most patients who have followed post-op care instructions say the scar lines are virtually undetectable once healed.  The scar line is less noticeable because doctors who perform the QuickLift face lift use a "beveling" technique when making the incision to encourage natural hair growth along the sideburn, further concealing the scar line.

Would I get better results if I waited until I was older?

No matter how old you are when you have the QuickLift face lift procedure, the normal aging process will continue.  After you have the QuickLift, you will always look younger and more refreshed than you did prior to the procedure.  Following a healthy diet and skin care regimen will help to maintain a more youthful appearance.

How long will the QuickLift face lift results last?

QuickLift face lift results are permanent.  However, the normal aging process will continue.  A number of  factors including skin type, sun exposure and heredity all play a role in determining the longevity of the results.

Are there any risks associated with the QuickLift face lift?

As with any type of surgery, there are inherent risks which can include post-operative swelling, bleeding and visible scarring.  However, quitting smoking and carefully following the pre- and post-operative surgical instructions reduces the likelihood of these complications.

Patients are encouraged to ask questions and discuss their concerns about the procedure with their doctor during the surgical consultation.

What is the Cost of the QuickLift face lift?

The cost of the QuickLift Face Lift is determined during an individual consultation with your surgeon.  The QuickLift is more affordable than a traditional full or mid face lift, making it accessible to a wide range of men and women who are looking to stay ahead of the aging process.
