He has presented at national meetings and been published in national professional journals. Dr. Richards is cited in the National Consumer Checkbook ''Top Doctor List'' and the National Consumer Research Council of America has listed him as one of ''America's Top Surgeons.''

Dr. Richards' skill and expertise as a cosmetic surgeon have also been established locally. Washingtonian magazine has recognized him in their ''Top Plastic Surgeons'' list and has done so since 1995. His expert opinion has been sought by numerous prominent publications, including The Washington Post and Washingtonian magazine.

Dr. Richards continues to avail himself of the collective knowledge and progress in fields of plastic and cosmetic surgery. Committed to a sense of service, Dr. Richards has been a volunteer medical team leader in Honduras. Dozens of deformed children benefited from his services on the three separate missions.
