Meet Stanley G. Poulos, MD & Yngvar A. Hvistendahl, MD

Serving the San Francisco, California (CA) and surrounding Bay area, plastic surgeon Dr. Stanley G. Poulos is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and an active member in the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, and California Society of Plastic Surgeons.

Dr. Poulos received his medical degree from The University of Texas and completed his internship and residency in general surgery at The University of California, San Francisco. He went on to complete his fellowship in plastic surgery at St. Francis Memorial Hospital, San Francisco, CA. In addition to co-founding Plastic Surgery Specialists, Dr. Poulos holds positions at Marin General Hospital, where he served as Chairman of the Department for many years, and Greenbrae Surgery Center.

Dr. Poulos has been a board certified plastic surgeon practicing for over 25 years. He has taught plastic surgery as a Clinical Instructor of Plastic Surgery at St. Francis Memorial Hospital, Clinical Instructor, Bothin Burn Center at St. Francis Memorial Hospital and Clinical Instructor and Consultant at Shriner's Children's Hospital, San Francisco, but his private practice is exclusively devoted to aesthetic facial, breast, and body contouring surgery.

Also serving the San Francisco, California (CA) and surrounding Bay area, plastic surgeon Dr. Yngvar A. Hvistendahl is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and an active member in the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.

Dr. Hvistendahl completed his undergraduate work at Dartmouth College and attended medical school at Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, Ohio. Both his internship and residency were completed at The University of California, San Francisco. His plastic surgery fellowship was also completed at The University of California, San Francisco. In addition to co-founding Plastic Surgery Specialists, Dr. Hvistendahl is also Chief, Division of Plastic Surgery, Marin General Hospital.

Dr. Hvistendahl has been a board certified plastic surgeon practicing for over 8 years. Along with his experience as a surgeon he has also received several awards and honors, including the Star Award from UCSF for recognition of excellence in patient care. Dr. Hvistendal has also authorized published articles and has been a presenter at several conferences including the California Society of Plastic Surgery.
