Physician Information

Dr. John Frodel is board certified by the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the American Board of Otolaryngology.

Dr. Frodel received his medical degree from the University of Washington School of Medicine prior to completing residency training in General Surgery at Harvard Surgical Service in Boston. He went on to complete his residency in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Washington in Seattle, followed by his fellowship in Facial Plastic Surgery at the University of California in San Francisco.

Dr. Frodel has been a full-time academic faculty member at the University of Iowa School of Medicine, Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, University of New Mexico School of Medicine and is currently the cosmetic medical director in the Geisinger Healthcare System.

Also considered an expert in rhinoplasty, facial cosmetic surgery and complex facial reconstructive surgery, Dr. Frodel is highly sought-after surgeon in his field. His special interests include minimally invasive facial cosmetic surgery, rhinoplasty, and aging facial rejuvenation surgery, as well as facial implant surgery.
