Meet John W. Derr Jr., MD

Plastic surgeon Dr. John W. Derr is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He received his medical degree from the George Washington University in Washington, DC and went on to complete residencies in General Surgery and Plastic Surgery at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan. His post-graduate work included a fellowship in microsurgery at the University of Louisville, Division of Plastic Surgery, Department of Surgery and a cosmetic surgery fellowship in Miami, Florida.

As a Louisville, Kentucky (KY) plastic surgeon, Dr. Derr focuses on all aspects of anti aging procedures and cosmetic surgery, however his main areas of interest include: facial plastic surgery, breast enhancement surgery and body contouring procedures.

Dr. Derr is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Surgery at the University of Louisville and previously held the full-time faculty position of Assistant Professor in Plastic Surgery. He is a renowned laser surgeon in the areas of facial resurfacing, spider vein treatment and tattoo removal as well as an experienced practitioner of cosmetic dermal fillers and BOTOX® Cosmetic and advanced skin care protocol. He has also received extensive training on the QuickLift® mini facelift procedure along with other facial plastic surgery procedures.
