Dr. John Brock is board certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, board eligible for the American Board of Laser Surgery and is a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, The American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery and the American College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Dr. Brock received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from West Virginia University in Morgantown, WV. Following dental school, Dr. Brock went on to complete a one year general surgery internship and surgical residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Florida. In addition, he completed a one year anesthesia fellowship at Ruby Memorial Hospital through West Virginia University. Following his residency, Dr. Brock served five years in the United States Army. While in the Army he served as Chief of Maxillofacial Surgery at Martin Army Hospital in Fort Wainwright, Alaska. He also served as the Commander of the 53rd Head and Neck Surgical team deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Dr. Brock completed his military service with the rank of Major and returned to his home in West Virginia where he now lives with his wife and three children. Dr. Brock has extensive training in all facets of Oral and Maxillofacial surgery including laser surgery, facial cosmetic surgery and treatment and reconstruction of severe facial injuries and deformities as well as surgery to correct congenital facial deformities. |
