Meet James E. White, MD, FACS

Dr. James White, a Chattanooga, Tennessee cosmetic surgeon is board certified by the American Board of Surgery; he is a full fellow of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery; a full fellow of the American College of Surgery, as denoted by the FACS after his name; and he is a Diplomat with the American Board of Phlebology.

After completing his undergraduate work in Biology at the University of Georgia, Dr. White went on to graduate Magna Cum Laude from the Medical College of Georgia. He completed a General surgery residency at the University of Tennessee, Chattanooga and has been active in office based cosmetic surgery procedures for the last 7 years, serving as the Medical Director of Advanced Surgical Concepts. His research has been published in several surgical journals, and he has given numerous lectures and presentations during his medical career. Voted teaching resident of the year, Dr. White is currently teaching fellows in conjunction with Dr. Carey Nease as a Cosmetic Fellowship instructor with Southern Surgical Arts of Chattanooga, TN.

Dr. White has extensive training in the QuickLift® mini face lift procedure and other facial plastic surgery procedures, including liquid face lift, laser assisted face lifts, eye and brow lifts. As a cosmetic surgeon and anti aging specialist, Dr White specializes in artistic cosmetic surgery, natural enhancements with minimal downtime and minimal scarring using some of the latest technologies, not limited to facial procedures. He is also pleased to offer body sculpting procedures including tummy tucks, liposuction and mommy makeovers. He wants all of his Chattanooga, TN and Cleveland, TN plastic surgery patients to benefit from his extensive experience. Recently Dr. White has been voted as a finalist in the "2010 Best of the Best Chattanooga Cosmetic Surgeon" by the Chattanooga Times Free Press.

Dr. White is one of only a few hundred USA physicians to be named as Diplomat of the American Board of Phlebology. His vast experience with x-ray and ultrasound allowed him to pursue advanced training in Phlebology [the study of veins] with an emphasis on the use of EVLA laser closure and ultrasound guided sclerotherapy in the non-surgical treatment of vein diseases. Dr. White is board certified in the field of Phlebology--the study of veins. He has completed more than 4,000 endovenous laser ablation procedures since 2002 in the advanced laser treatment for varicose veins and vein diseases. His office uses state of the art surgical and non-surgical treatments for varicose veins.

As a cosmetic surgeon, Dr. White has been eager to share his expertise in surgery with less fortunate people of third world countries. He and his family have been able to make medical/surgical mission trips to Mexico and Haiti. He has been able to participate in medical missions with the International Medical Assistance Organization. Dr. White is a 14 year veteran of the United States Air Force Reserve completing his tour as a Lt. Colonel. He has lived with his wife Casi in Cleveland, Tennessee since 1998. He and Casi have two sons, Cole and Carson.
