Meet Leonard F. Allen IV, MD, DMD

Cosmetic surgeon Dr. Leonard F. Allen, serving Charleston, Huntington and Hurricane, West Virginia (WV), is board certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery. He is a member of the American Dental Association, American Medical Association and the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.

The cosmetic surgeon received his dental degree from the University of Alabama School of Dentistry in Birmingham, AL. He went on to complete his internship in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Charity Hospital in New Orleans, LA. Following his internship, Dr. Allen earned a medical degree from Louisiana State University School of Medicine in Shreveport, LA. Before coming to Charleston, West Virginia, Dr. Allen went on to complete a general surgery internship and training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Louisiana State University.

Currently Dr. Allen serves as a clinical assistant professor of surgery with West Virginia University School of Medicine, and has received extensive cosmetic surgery training in the QuickLift® mini-facelift procedure as well as other facial plastic surgery procedures. He has authored chapters in the seven-volume Oral and Maxillofacial reference set and is often invited to lecture his peers during continuing education conferences. Dr. Allen resides in Charleston, West Virginia with his wife and daughter.
